The Dragon of Fate

The Dragon of Fate 03 17 2010

The evil learned when they were young

Slay the dragon not just for fun

Behead the monster in the clearing mist

Receive from the fairest maiden the choicest kiss

One day the hamlet fell full of dread

As a dragon rose from the dead

Immune from stabs and falling arrow

The dragon to their way did harrow

Much to their great surprise

Talons pierced from clearest skies

Natures Most Fearsome of Creatures

The Most Fearsome of Creatures 03 15 2010

The most fearsome of creatures could see I was taking pictures of a pair of Geese. He wanted to look like part of nature too. Se he stood ostensibly camouflaged behind this tree. I tell you I barely noticed him. When I did, I turned my camera lens on him. He got off a quick bark saying, “I’m tough, mean and wild.”, before I was able to get off just one quick shot. And here is that picture for you, "Nature’s Most Fearsome of Creatures”.

Wisconsin Avenue Meets the Milwaukee River

This bird winked at me yesterday 03/09/2010. He was standing on the melting ice of the Milwaukee River. I liked the way the buildings reflected their image on the thin water surface. You can also view him at http://www.thomasmurphy.lifepics.com/

Cahill Square Geese

I took these pictures of Geese at Cahill Square a few days ago. They were dipping their beeks in the melted water of the ice skating rink. The rink is a soccor field during the summer. You can view them at http://www.thomasmurphy.lifepics.com/
